Midweek Projects: Soyokaze Japanese Restaurant Outdoor Dining

Greetings!
Welcome back into our Midweek Projects by House of Smichi. This week's project is continuing from last Weekend Projects, Soyokaze Japanese Restaurant which has Japanese fusion style. While the last post we reveal the indoor dining, now, we reveal the outdoor dining. Enjoy!

Because the weather of the location that is really hot and dry, we design the outdoor is as cool as it can be. We put some plants to make the sunny day cooler.

We separate the area into two dining area: the conventional area and the Japanese dining area. We put the artificial grass around the area despite the real plants. The aim is for low maintenance of the operational.

We still use bamboo partition to separate each table to make privacy and we also still use the lantern with mason jar lamps as lighting accent.
At the Japanese dining area, we use Japanese low chair to add the Japanese ambiance. And we make a hole around the table so the customers can put their feet like usual people sit.

Weekend Projects: Soyokaze Japanese Restaurant

Greetings!
It's been November already. And it's been awhile from our last Weekend Projects post. This time, we share a simple Japanese restaurant design with you.

We are playing Japanese fusion style this time. If you see mostly Japanese designs use wooden texture and light color, in here you'll see the wood only used as the accent in carvings. We are presenting the Japanese style in bamboo and lanterns.

We make a quite dramatic entrance by presents a wall full of accent: mirrors, wood carvings, and murals about the restaurant. As the other side of the wall is bamboo partition. We design the distance between one another bamboo so they will look like natural and not too crowded. In the end of the entrance, you will see the big restaurant 's logo and we called it console table as they can put their menu books on the table.

We covered the wall in some different materials: paint, mirrors, artificial grass, wood carving, mosaic tiles, and food posters. Makes the bigger room look pretty full in a good way. We design a spot lighting from a lantern mix with three mason jars lamp which out from the lantern.

To connect with the other world, we make a big windows made in black colors. We put the noren (a Japanese curtain) as the accent. We also use bamboo as a divider between one table and another.
