Weekend Projects: Walk In Closet for Her and Him

Greetings!
Have you ever wonder how to separate his clothes from her clothes? Well, somebody needs us to revamp their walk in closet and here we go like this.

For her:

For him:

They want to separate each other's clothes but still in one unity.
While for her is a little bit need more spaces for this and that with all of her various types of clothes, for him, just as simple as hanging or folded.

But their personal area is combined with a bench that has shoes rack for her and for him. This bench is functioned as a place to think what clothes they're going to wear that day (well, maybe. :D) and a seat to wear shoes, or just as a cozy spot to relax.

That's all for today. We'll see you all again soon!

Enjoy My Book Club: Queen of Hearts Volume Two - The Wonder

Greetings!
I finished this book last night and it makes me hungry to read more about this series.

Actually I read directly to Volume Two after looking Volume One for nothing in every book store in town. And because I know that there's a book like this by seeing this Volume Two first. By the way, if you have any information about this series, especially if you've ever seen Volume One at Jabodetabek local bookstore, please contact me. :D

The story I read is when Dinah, the Discharged Princess from Wonderland Castle, wandering around the forest because she's running away from her father, King of Hearts, for being accused of her brother's death. And the in the middle of the way, she got some help from a cannot be trusted friend and bring them into a journey to Wonderland Castle's enemy, the Yurkei.

The most interesting thing is the imagination that the author give in this book is brilliant. It's not a happy imagination like in Alice's Adventure in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll, although the author inspired by the story, but the book gives us another scary part and paranoid part of the surround nature.

And I love about the friendship between Dinah and Morte, a black war horse, who help Dinah fight with the white hungry bear at the beginning of the book. At first they cannot understand each other, because Morte was born to kill and fight, so the enemy called him The Black Devil. Until one point they need each other.

I recommend this book for those who loves beyond compare imaginations, Alice's Adventure in Wonderland, and ancient era story.
I cannot wait to read what happen next to Dinah and the rest of the character in this book. Keep following the author, Colleen Oakes, through her Instagram to get more update about the next story.

OK, that's all for today. We'll see you all again soon!

Daily Pictures: Neo Gothic Architecture

Greetings!
This view is so inspiring me to create more inspiring art.

This is a facade picture of Cathedral Church in Jakarta. It's located in front of the biggest mosque in South East Asia.
This church has a neo gothic style architecture, with symmetrical shape and form from the bottom to the top. I always admire old times architecture because they can create an everlasting art.

Enjoy My Book Club: Living An Enriched Life

Greetings!
This afternoon finally I have a chance to finished my third book for this week, Living An Enriched Life by Dale Carnegie & Associates, Inc. I've been reading the book since Monday night and here's my note about the book.

Reading this book is like me having a motivation seminar session with Dale Carnegie team. This book tells us about how to live a better life.
How we must challenge ourselves to have a better attitude and see life in positive ways. The have the courage to set the goals and reached them. And finally if we haven't met with the goals, we must set the alternative ways to stand up once again and get there.

The editor, Dr. Arthur R. Pell also nicely to give some illustration what are the problems and how to face them to get them done. Not only that, he also fill some pages with some short quotes from Dale Carnegie himself as motivations to the readers. For me, that is so important to know what the expert say about the topics.

And finally, this book is nicely arranged by introduction to a winner attitude, set the goals and make them "on fire", how to fix everything around us including ourselves, how to be motivated and stay positive, then finally do whatever the goals we set, and if we face the failure, we can face them wisely.

I am highly recommend this book for anyone who has a less confident about how to live a life and make it better.

That's all for today. We'll see you all again soon!

Midweek Projects: New York Style Bedroom

Greetings!
We are enjoying designing a bedroom in New York style. The room is so spacious but we create more space and minimize the furniture so the room still looks spacious enough. The unique thing about this design is a big window that shows the outside view of the house. So we can play with it like a giant live painting.

We put a bench between the mattress and the window, so the owner can work or read a book, or just enjoying the view. This bench also works as a headboard for the mattress. For the side tables, we add book shelves to keep some beautiful books.

For the floor we choose grey tile as dominant flooring here, and we also put some Moroccan tiles to decorate the area surround the mattress. It makes the room not too plain and give a vocal point to the bed area.

And we are not forgetting to put greenery to make the room feel fresher.

That's all from us today. We'll see you all again soon!

Enjoy My Book Club: The Old Man and The Sea

Greetings!
This is my second book for the week. I choose The Old Man and The Sea by Ernest Hemingway in Bahasa Indonesia version. I choose this book because it's one of the best book in the literature world. And it tickles me to read the meaning behind the story.

"Now is no time to think of what you do not have. Think what you can do with that there is."

That is my favorite quote from this title.
This book told me to keep my faith until I get what I want. Willing to try, not only harder, but also smarter, to get everything. And stay focus to my goals. Try not to give up everytime there's a anxiety or hurricane of life comes.

It also a very touching story that human needs somebody else in life. A friend in need, is a friend indeed. It is told that we can't do everything alone. Like the old man, Santiago, needs his best friend, the younger boy, Manolin, to help him catching bigger fishes and to pull the fishing lines.

Also, most important thing from this book is, every hard work needs blessings from God. And faith that He will make a way to fulfill our needs.

In the end, we can enjoy whatever results we get and being happy and proud about it.

It's really inspiring and wonderful story from Ernest Hemingway. I recommend you to read the book, especially if you need an inspiring story about how to gather up the spirit to try again after failing over and over again. I really hope you can find the spirit from this book.

That's all for today. We'll see you again soon! Keep enjoying our book club!

Enjoy My Book Club: The Fault In Our Stars

Greetings!
After a long break since the last post, I am back with another collections from my book shelf.
While waiting for the rendering done, I decided to look at my book shelf and pick one of the book randomly. I choose The Fault In Our Stars. It took about 4 hours to read the book in a cozy way.

This is a book about persons who suffer cancer and all the activities they are doing. Although it has sad ending, but all the struggle that happens to them is so touching. How they hope the miracle will happen and they are racing against time to fulfill the bucket lists.

At first I don't have any interest in romantic novels, but this book give me another sight about romantic novels can be. It's a book full of spirit to reach dreams and give a lesson how to love somebody unconditionally. I think it's a recommended book for you to read.

Weekend Projects: Industrial Kitchen

Greetings!
Somebody asks us to explore more of the Industrial concept and we accepted the challenge. She asks us to design her kitchen. It's a small kitchen in I line layout and open space into the dining area. So, here's our design! Enjoy!

We use stainless steel plates for the lower cabinet's doors to make a different impression and make the kitchen more masculine. For the back splash wall, we use a dark marble with a little bit brown and white colors in the pattern. We also represent the masculine side by using the dark charcoal color for the upper cabinet's doors. And for the improvisation, we create doors with wire for the upper cabinet's doors. For the handle, we use the copper plates to make a different sense and color to the kitchen. Of course, to balance all the materials and colors, we choose hanging shelves made of wood plank.

Thank you for the request for us to explore more about Industrial concept! I hope we'll make it better each time we're "cooking" the  design.

We'll see you all again soon!
