Weekend Projects: Walk In Closet for Her and Him

Greetings!

Have you ever wonder how to separate his clothes from her clothes? Well, somebody needs us to revamp their walk in closet and here we go like this.

For her:

For him:

They want to separate each other's clothes but still in one unity.

While for her is a little bit need more spaces for this and that with all of her various types of clothes, for him, just as simple as hanging or folded.

But their personal area is combined with a bench that has shoes rack for her and for him. This bench is functioned as a place to think what clothes they're going to wear that day (well, maybe. :D) and a seat to wear shoes, or just as a cozy spot to relax.

Midweek Projects: Cook In Style In Your Kitchen Update

Greetings!

This is the update from the last post of a stylish kitchen we have posted few weeks ago. Here are some captures of real kitchen when it's built inside a house of a friend in Bogor. Enjoy!

Well, the basic concept is based by the client's want. She want a home in tree concept house. So the basic colors must be wooden brown and green leaf. But since the space is not too spacious enough, we decided to combine the wooden texture with bronze mirror. The mirrors will give the space more spacious but still connect with the main concept. And they can make the room free from boredom.

As the accessories inside the cabinets, we only use the dish rack above the sink, forks and spoons storage in the drawer, and a waste bin below the sink. One thing interesting about the waste bin is you don't have to bow down if you want to throw the trash. Just open the lower cabinet's door and the waste bin will turn automatically to the side of the door. A simple tech can make life easier.

Weekend Projects: Cook in Style in Your Kitchen

It's been a while since our last post of Weekend Projects. Now, we are back again with another design review originally made by House of Smichi. Enjoy!

Mirror at the door of your kitchen cabinet? Why not! So you can cook in style to make delicious foods and creating a good vibes around the area.
The hanging shelves made to make a contrast for small kitchen so the space won't be too much doors and closed cabinets.
The ice glass at the top cabinet's doors also made a contrast to the design so it won't be boring with full wooden pattern doors.

Midweek Projects: Modern Style Studio Apartment

Greetings!

Here we are with our latest interior design projects. This time we finished a modern style studio apartment in Jakarta about two weeks ago.

Studio apartment needs more spaces for storage. But since the space is not spacious enough, we have to treat the room carefully. One of the way is using mirror to get the lighter look.

Play with only light colors like light brown, light grey, or white. Darker color can be used only for accent, not as a dominant color. Because darker color can make the room smaller than it used to be.

You can set mirror at the bottom of the furniture to make it looks lighter and "flying". This can treat the small room even bigger.

Midweek Projects: Walk In Closet in Modern Style

Midweek Projects is back on the Blog now!

This time we are trying to make a budget concern walk in closet in small spaces, like in an apartment space. So ladies, prepare your soon-to-be-home or apartment to place your walk in closet in stylish way. Men, watch out for the next post about your ideas of walking closet! :)

Walk in closet basically is a room where you can walk in your clothes cupboard to mix and match the clothes with the accessories, and do your make up. So it's like a giant clothes cupboard inside your house or apartment. It doesn't have to be big and wide, you can place it even in a small space.

So, we choose a simple design to fit in the walk in closet in a small space. No furniture's handles, and less use of materials to reduce the cost. We add the wallpaper behind the closet as the aesthetic element. Or if you have a nature gift as painter, you can paint the wall of whatever you like. The idea is not to make your closet too plain because of the simple furniture. You can change the hanger side into folding side if you have folded clothes too.

As for the color, we don't pick too much color. More white to widen up the space, wooden color as for warming the room, and the pink color is optional. It's just for the accent color of the room.

We create a light the make up area with direct light all over you face and above where you sit. Just in case you don't need the make up area lights, you can only switch on the light above the make up area.
