Weekend Projects: Christmas in Your Bedroom

Greetings!
Christmas is around the corner! Yeay! How's your Christmas decor going up?

Well, some of you might not have an enough space to put many decors. Maybe you just have a studio apartment of your own and you still want to make it a Christmas-y ambiance. So, here's my suggestions for you, prepare Christmas tree that suits your room well, a garland, and wreath. You can add Christmas socks if you like.
You can utilize your wall for the decorations. But make sure everything is on its size that fits your space.

And one more thing, don't be afraid to try darker and rare color to fill your space. Either it's for the floor or the wall paint or wallcovering. Make sure you choose one of the interior parts that I mention before to make your space looks nice and fresh for the next year. You can add a quirky wallcovering pattern like, tropical theme or cartoon as long as it fits your dominant color in the room.

And don't forget to always give another part a neutral color in white or light grey if you put dark colors. Just to make it a little bit lighter, not too heavy because of darker color overdose.

That's all for today. We'll see you all again soon!

Midweek Projects: My Bedroom, My Style Part 2

Greetings!
Last Midweek Projects we have seen our latest bedroom project in one perspective. This time, we are sharing with you the area behind the bed.

Right behind the bed is the dresser for doing make up (for the lady, of course) and some additional storage to keep little things in stainless drawers. We designed the mirror behind the peacock painting to give a little quirky feelings yet make the space more functional. And we combined the white color with industrial style desk. It's not that wide enough desk, but it's enough to get some free space while the lady do her thing.

The area behind the bed is basically a walk in closet area. We don't put any divider between the bed and the walk in closet unless a curtain in both side, right and left to make the area get more privacy. This is the unique thing of our design.

Since the room is not spacious enough to build a big walk in closet, the area is still divided into two area for the man and the lady. The difference is, the lady has an area to hang long dresses she has, while the man has enough drawers to keep his things and also shared with the lady (since men are simpler that the ladies).

Between the lady and man area, there's a door that connects to the bathroom. And each area has its own personal full body size mirror and a colorful chair. And also each side has a big window to enjoy the outdoor area too.

That's all for today. We'll see you all again soon!

Midweek Projects: My Bedroom, My Style

Greetings!
Well, sometimes the style of your bedroom at least tells a story about your personality. Either you are feminist, romantic, or quirky like the bedroom owner who request us to design a bedroom in a little bit out of the usual layout of a bedroom.

The owner wants an open walk in closet, have a big mirror, and separated side for her and him. So we made this special design based on the owner's personality.

It's a little bit quirky but still well-organized bedroom. Dominantly in white with a little touch of charcoal, turquoise, and yellow for the color accent. Since it's too much boring to play in one tone color, we decided to add more colorful from the outfits the owners' have and the painting as the main view of this room.

We put the bed as the center of the room and as a divider between sleeping area and the outfit  storage area. To add a little privacy, they can turn down the curtain to make the process of changing clothes more comfortable. Each side has a full body mirror.

Not only stopped here, we also add the touch of the blue and white in Moroccan style tiles as the border of the bed area. The color also match the main colors in this room. And we also made the bed board from concrete as the unity with the flooring material.

That's all for today. We'll see you all again soon with what's behind the bed exactly!

Midweek Projects: New York Style Bedroom

Greetings!
We are enjoying designing a bedroom in New York style. The room is so spacious but we create more space and minimize the furniture so the room still looks spacious enough. The unique thing about this design is a big window that shows the outside view of the house. So we can play with it like a giant live painting.

We put a bench between the mattress and the window, so the owner can work or read a book, or just enjoying the view. This bench also works as a headboard for the mattress. For the side tables, we add book shelves to keep some beautiful books.

For the floor we choose grey tile as dominant flooring here, and we also put some Moroccan tiles to decorate the area surround the mattress. It makes the room not too plain and give a vocal point to the bed area.

And we are not forgetting to put greenery to make the room feel fresher.

That's all from us today. We'll see you all again soon!

Midweek Projects: Modern Sleek Bedroom

Greetings!
Midweek Projects on House of Smichi is back with another fun adventure!

This is the final photographs for our latest residential project. It's all about modern, simple, and clean design for our dearest client bedroom.

The world map above the TV area is a place to place her memorizing travels around the world. And it's magnetic! So she can put a new pictures easily without damaging the board.

And for her favorite spot on the room. :)

The walk in closet to give storage to clothes, a shelf to display her bags and shoes and everything she loves. The shelf is right in front of her bedroom door, so whenever she come in, the first time she sees is the good mood from everything she loves on the shelf.

The wardrobe divided into two door-less area.

We are so glad that our client loves her bedroom so much. :)

We are looking for a new design adventure. Maybe with you?

Weekend Projects: Industrial Modern Bedroom Design

Greetings!
It's been a while since our last post. We are back again with this week's Weekend Projects from our latest interior project in Bogor, Indonesia.

The client loves modern sleek style match with Industrial look. Although it seems so contradicting each other, but we finally made one that can put the modern sleek and Industrial style at one place. Enjoy!

Below is the view everytime she open her bedroom door. A glam of the bags and shoes display shelf makes a mood booster for the bedroom owner. We added a little comfy bench at the end of the room so there's a little space to sit down and enjoy the room or just welcoming her friends into the bedroom.

Besides the display shelf is her vanity area. Big size mirror with frontal lighting, an organized shelf for her make up tools and stuffs, nail polishes collection display, and see through jewelry collections.

In front of her bed is the entertainment set cabinet. Where she can enjoy the movie, books, and many photos over here. She asked us to make a world map panel so she can put her photo collections from the travelling around the world.

Nest to her bed is the working desk area with a little scrapbook corner for placing the paper, ribbons organizing, and stuffs like stickers that can be hung at the hook we placed on the wall. The book shelf beside the desk is for her binder filing from work which she set up in rainbow colors.

For the bedside lamp, we make a little Industrial style as we use the Mason Jar lamp that we create on our own. And a little wall decor of black butterflies as the vocal point of the bed area.

That's all for this week's Weekend Projects! We'll see you around again soon!
P.S.: we'll be a little bit less posting this month as we have many interior projects in the short time. But we'll be here after a project is done.
Thank you for reading and season's greetings!
