Art Journal: Enjoy The Life

Greetings!
This is our art of the day. Enjoy!

If you notice, I always fill this category mostly with paper artwork projects as my art journal and my art therapy. Well, for me, making paper artwork is much simpler that drawing sketches or making the brush lettering. So maybe paper artwork is my most healer everytime the stressful day comes. But don't worry, I still learn to use my hand in drawing and using the brush pen to share something good and beautiful.

We'll see you all soon! We hope you can enjoy our art of the day!

Daily Photos: Old Solid Wood

Greetings!
This is our photo of the day and the story behind it. Enjoy!

I went to Bogor Botanical Garden earlier this noon to work out my body so I won't be way too fat. And then I saw this interesting tree branches cut from nearest tree where I stood up. Well, yes, it's only the branches. Can you imagine how old the tree is? The diameter of the branches is bigger than my head. Maybe ten times bigger or more.
The heavy-old-branches must be cut from the tree to minimize the tragedy when the heavy rains with strong winds attack. But be better to stay away from the old tree that has a big branches like this. Do not stay underneath it.

That's all our story about the photo of the day. We'll see you all again soon!

Style It Tuesday: Museum Trip Outfit Part 2

Greetings!
This is our OOTD. Enjoy!

Last week we have an unexpected trip to the National Museum in the central of Jakarta. It's an educated place to know everything about Indonesian art and culture from ancient times up to now. There are ancient statues that came from centuries ago when Indonesia was not even a country, but small kingdom rules the small area.

And fortunately, this place has beautiful spots to take pictures, like we did to captured our outfit that day. Well, wait for no longer! Enjoy!

That's all for this week's style. We'll see you again soon!

MondayFest: Faith

Greetings!
We have a paper artwork to fill our art project on MondayFest. Enjoy!

"Believe you can and you will."
This is the faith that we believe in up to now. We believe when there is a will, there is a way. So just have faith that we can and we will do it. Well, dreams won't be coming true unless we do something to make it come true. So, have the faith! Have the positive vibes!

Daily Pictures: Sunshine After The Rain

Greetings!
This is our first post about every pictures that we take everyday. We hope you can enjoy the story behind it that will be written by our Blogger, Sherly Genoveva.

It was raining for couple hours in Bogor, my hometown so I have to stay a little longer at the mall (yeah, at least you can stay safe from getting wet because of the pouring rain). And after a couple hours, I went home and saw this amazing rays of sunshine while the sun is set behind the Mount Salak (read: west). Unfortunately, the street was too crowded with public transportation when I took the picture. But it was so beautiful if you see the view from where I stand.

Thank you for reading the story behind our Daily Pictures! We'll see you all again soon!

Art Journal: Hello Adventure! :)

Greetings!
Here's our art of the day. Enjoy!

I love adventure so much. I really easily get bored if I'm too long stay in one place. So I love fast movement and experience many things new. Though I am so scared and so worry about what tomorrow will be at the beginning, but in the end I feel so blessed that I can pass one more island in my life adventure.

Sometimes I can face the thunder storm or hurricane or maybe earthquake, but I have faith that my adventure will be beautiful at the end of the path. Well, sometimes the journey is not so smooth as I wan it to be, but I have supports from the loved ones.

That's all for art of the day. We'll see you again soon!

Thank you for reading and enjoying our art!

Art Journal: Let's Go By Train!

Greetings!
This is our art of the day. Enjoy!

I took a picture of Malinda Tania at the Bogor Station. This photo was taken last month while waiting our train to get us to Jakarta.

Travelling by train has been our favorite public transportation. The train is called by the name Commuter Line Jabodetabek (Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi). Less-traffic jammed and the stations are set near all the main places that commuters will visit. Business district area, living area, and also shopping center. But in busy times like in the morning and afternoon, the train will be sooo crowded even you can't move your body.

We hope Indonesia will have a better public transportation that can connect people from around the area. More public transportation means less air pollution because we can reduce the used of cars and motorcycle.

Style It Tuesday: White and Denim Outfit

Greetings!
These are out #OOTD!

Take #1

Take #2

Denim has been our favorite outfit because it's simple and can be combined with almost everything. And white outfit makes the style so fresh and stay cool. This time we also wear bags and high heels. We love to mix and match style.

While Sherly Genoveva brings the casual and sweet style and mixed it with saddle bag and postman bag, Malinda Tania combines the look with a flap bag and tote bag, which more bold and modern yet simple.

The point of the outfit is, you can put one you love the most to wear it that day and then combine the style with everything  you have in your closet. You don't have to follow the trend to be outstanding. The more unique your style is, the more interesting you can be.

All outfit we wear is our personal-old-outfits with NO makeup put on our face. We took the pictures at House of Smichi's basecamp with the Nikon CoolPix S6150.

Enjoy My Book Club: My Day Offs' Reading

Greetings!

Last week, the doctor said that I have to rest for few days because I have fever and sore throat. Then besides taking the medicines that the doctor gave, I have times to read books. So these are the list of books that I read few days ago.
Enjoy!

Yes! I still enjoy to read Enid Blyton's The Famous Five series. For me, the story is so much alive and the adventure (although the book is rather for children and teenager) is so interesting. One thin I love is I can learn how to live in the era of non-modern-technology at all besides telegram and telephone since the original book was published around 1940's to 1950's. I read the book since I was in school. And basically I love to read an adventure and detective story.

1. Five Get Into Trouble (Nyaris Terjebak, Indonesian version)
2. Five Get Into Adventure (Jo Anak Gelandangan, Indonesian version)
3. Five On A Hike Together (Rahasia Harta Karun, Indonesian version)
4. Five Have A Wonderful Time (Sarjana Misterius, Indonesian version)

Once again, I love the adventure of The Famous Five! :D

And the book I am reading now is Limitless by Nick Vujicic. So far, I enjoy all the daily musings that we have to learn to be more happy with life. I'll let you know my impression when I am finished!

Thank you for reading! We'll see you all again soon!

Art Journal: Welcome March!

Greetings!
This is our art of the day. Enjoy!

Paper artwork: Welcome March

OK, I know it's a little bit too late for welcoming March since it's almost mid of March. But it's better to say it than never. March is a special month for me because it's the month of my birthday. So it's time for a little reunion with my friends who's coming back home from another part of the world. Well, I guess it will be another fun month for March!

Color Therapy: Cobalt Blue

Greetings!
It's been a while since our last session of Color Therapy every Saturday. But now we are back with a fresh session of color inspirations for you. This time, we give a chance for Cobalt Blue!

Some people say that Cobalt Blue is a Royal Blue color, that often used by the royal family. The color takes out the charisma and wisdom from the person who wears it. Although the color is a little bit brighter, Cobalt Blue can make a room so tranquil and peaceful in interior design scope. It cooling downs the high temper and can reduce stress. Sometimes, it can brings out the inner intelligence and trust from the user.

Let's take a look Cobalt Blue that applied in a room.

Most people love to combine Cobalt Blue with white. Because white can balance the brightness of Cobalt Blue.

And not impossible too that Cobalt Blue can be combined with another blue hues, like turquoise, indigo, and even baby blue.

Cobalt Blue with any various colors.

Sometimes, people love to combine Cobalt Blue with gold that creates a royal interior.

But you can applied it with silver too that feels so calm.

Cobalt Blue inside the furniture? Why not! It fits best with wooden color and texture.

Too much Cobalt Blue in a room can make you feels like drown in your own room. Sometimes, if you don't have enough lighting from the window, the room looks a little bit creepier than it should be. Dramatic lighting (like uplighting) also creates the room so mysterious and overwhelmed.

And finally, these are the combinations for you.

OK! That's all for HoS color of the week. We'll see you all again soon on the next session of Color Therapy!
Thank you for attending this week's session!

All pictures are taken from here and here.
